About this Blog

Whether you are 30 or 99 — or somewhere in between — the issues that concern you are unique.  In this tough economy, many of us are faced with financial worries, career concerns, and the constant battle of trying to balance home and career, family and friends, health and happiness.

While the younger generations are still sweating over student loans and diapers, we are more focused on retirement plans and downsizing.  And for those who have decided to make a career move — the standard job-search rules just don’t seem to apply!

By this stage of our lives, we pretty much get it.  And we know how to get things done.  But this is also a time in which balance is more important than ever.  We want our cake, iced, and ready for the eating!  That requires balance — and you’ll discover the tricks to balancing a heavy plate here on Grown-up Living: Careers & More.

In our lives, we each must deal with the same 10 “Life Categories,” and thus this blog is accordingly organized by those topics:

  1. Spirituality
  2. Physical Health
  3. Emotional Health
  4. Life Purpose
  5. Environment
  6. Work
  7. Play
  8. Finances
  9. Relationships
  10. Stress Mastery

Alan, from your comment on LI, I believe you meant to post this under the article about Maximizing the Value of Your Network. (I’ll post it there for you…)

I like your blog. One thing what I noticed, it was very hard to find it from google (at least with my search term). You should check this two plugins: http://bit.ly/14AbDBH and http://bit.ly/17x2SrU I use those in all my wp blogs. It will definately help you getting better ranking in google so more traffic 🙂

      Thanks for the info.

I don’t advertise the blog or earn any income from it, so I’ve never worried about my Google rank. But perhaps your links will help others who are interested. (I just want to share what I’ve learned, to help others for free.)
